Teppan style cooking is a personal favorite. This place offers the usual fare and represents overall good value for the money - but with a few caveats. No, it's not as good as Benihana or Kasai, but it is comparatively affordable and much closer to me. Observations: Quite loud, "fun" and raucous setting, with what appears to be an over the top birthday celebration feature - complete with fireworks, cake, and a loud booming drum backing a canned song. The soundtrack played 3 times during my visit. Once was great...3x in an hr... well, "no thanks" Flying food and free flowing projectile sake are other spectacles - annoying and bizarre for us older folks who just wanted a more "quiet night out", but fun I suppose for those 20 somethings who aren't alcohol averse and up for catching flying food like a circus act seal pup. Food. Overall tasty, but if you have ANY dietary restrictions or special requests - forget it. You "get what you get" here. Things like "gluten free please" OR "please hold the teriyaki" will get lost in translation and illicit blank stares. Ditto if you're cooking oil averse, avoid! This place must singlehandedly keep mazola in business - they literally go thru gallons a night at this place in meal prep! A much more sane and judicious application of oils would yield a better, tastier, healthier experience for diners - health conscious or otherwise imho. Benihana uses far less and is tastier for it. So, with the aforementioned in mind, this place is a fun time, tasty, and is recommended.

We love Osaka's. We go there every 6 months or so. We go there especially if we have visitors. Don't usually have a problem getting a reservation, except if we call last minute. Staff has been great on our outings. The food is consistent and very good.

Great food, good service. Loud. This place surprised me with their sushi. When you're not close to the water good, real sushi is hard to come by. This place did all of that well. Now they do the "American" extra over the top rolls great but the real treat was just the standard rolls....DELICIOUS. I know you're thinking who goes to hibachi and gets sushi.. well this guy. However my wife got hibachi and well they do this really well too. Great quality, well cooked and very flavorful. The only downside is this place is where you go to party and yell at your friends because man is it exceptionally loud. Nevertheless nice clean restaurant, lots of fun and exceptional food to boot.

Came to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious a little overcooked on the chicken. The Las Vegas roll was delicious as well. The ambience is semi, but still can carry on conversation your normal Teppanyaki bar. The service was not too bad either yeah for Teppanyaki bar.

Osaka never disappoints! My husband and I dined here last night and the atmosphere is just the right mix of calm and fun. Our food was great, the rolls were huge so they filled us up. The mango lemonade is a must. Our server was very kind and made sure to keep up with how we were doing. He had great recommendations from the menu and felt like a friend when he spoke to us.

Are you ready for a good time? Well OSAKA is so much fun. The food is really good and you will most definitely have some left to take home. The service is prompt and courteous. I recommend this spot if you want a true birthday celebration with lots of smiles and clapping

When we made reservation here, we didn't know this was a hotspot for birthday celebrations. Every table had one or two birthday celebrations going on, so they would beat the drums and sing about every 10 minutes. Service was excellent; very well run restaurant. The food was delicious too. Lots of garlic, butter and seasonings. They give you dipping sauces for the protein, but I didn't use any. The seafood like lobster, shrimp, mahi mahi and scallops were really fresh. Good portion sizes too. The filet mignon was very tender; cooked medium rare just like we asked for. It does get smoky in there with grill and fire, so I don't recommend wearing your Sunday best. We really enjoyed the food and the experience. Enjoy! Highly highly recommend.

I've been to many teppanyaki restaurants in the east valley and this is my favorite. First, it's not a fancy atmosphere. It's nice but not classy. Fine with me. It's my kind of place. The chef always does a fun show. It's great for kids. Some are more entertaining than others but all are good. The food is outstanding. My go to is the teppanyaki with filet and scallops. Don't bother with regular steak. Pay a few extra dollars and get the filet. The scallops are always fluffy and full of flavor. The shrimp is also a good one. You also need to get a sake bomb. I prefer it with Kirin Light. The sake comes out hot and you get a 24 ounce bottle of beer. The restaurant also has an area where you can sit at a table and order plates and drinks. Also has a bar which is fun to sit at if you're waiting on a table. This place is frequently busy on weekends. Either go early or get a reservation.
